How much is coaching?
Happy to cover that. What do you want to work on first?
A plan I can stick to this quarter.
I can do Tue at 10:00 or Thu at 14:00. Which should I book?

Home / For coaches
Your DMs are your sales floor. Most coaches lose leads there.
This page is for coaches and course creators. The generic AI DM setter page covers the same job without the coach angle. Three things show up over and over in a coaching inbox.
- A Reel takes off and the replies sit there while you are on a call. A 2011 Harvard Business Review study of online sales leads found that firms contacting a lead within an hour were nearly seven times as likely to qualify it as firms that waited another hour. That study is about web leads, not Instagram DMs.1
- Follow-ups get forgotten. The person who asked about a start date on Monday is easy to lose by Thursday.
- A human setter costs a retainer, an hourly rate, or a commission, and the role turns over. We are not putting a dollar amount on that here, because we do not have a public pay survey to cite.
From DM to booked call in 4 steps
The same path a setter runs, written as steps you can check against your own offer.
- 1
A lead comments a keyword, replies to a story, or sends a DM.
Comment-to-DM is on every paid plan, including Starter at $19/month. The first message can be a set reply. The questions after that are where the AI comes in.
- 2
The agent answers from your offer.
You add the sales page, the FAQ, and any PDFs. Hobby includes 3 knowledge base items. Standard includes 10. The agent is supposed to stay inside that material.
- 3
It qualifies on goal, timing, and readiness to invest.
You write the questions. A fitness coach might ask about the goal and the start date. A business coach might ask about the offer they want to sell and whether they are ready to invest this month.
- 4
It books on Calendly or Cal.com, or it hands the chat to you.
Booking is a tool, and so is the escalation email. Standard includes 5 tools, which covers both. If the person is not a fit, or the question is outside the knowledge you added, the agent emails you and you take the thread.
What your AI setter handles / What stays with you
The split is the point. The agent works the inbox. You still take the call.
What your setter handles
- Replies after hours and on weekends, on the channels you connect.
- Offer questions, from the knowledge you approved.
- Qualification on the questions you wrote.
- Booking on Calendly or Cal.com, on Standard and Pro.
- Follow-up sequences. Starter includes them for flows. The AI follow-up tool is on Standard.
- Voice notes on Standard: a clip you recorded, or an AI voice that uses your own ElevenLabs API key. See AI voice notes.
What stays with you
- The sales call.
- Custom pricing, discounts, and payment plans you have not written down.
- Refunds and complaints.
- Anything outside the knowledge you added. The agent sends an escalation email, and you take over from the inbox.
Instagram and WhatsApp, one setter
A lot of coaching sales start on a Reel and move to WhatsApp. Comment-to-DM opens the Instagram thread. The same agent can continue on WhatsApp, which is included on Starter, Hobby, Standard, and Pro.
FlowGent connects through Meta's official Instagram and WhatsApp APIs. Meta may charge its own WhatsApp conversation fees. This page does not list those rates. FlowGent's plan price is separate from them. The channel overview is on WhatsApp.
If the inbox is shared with a human closer, the handoff is the same idea as a DM setter team: the agent qualifies, and a person takes the conversations that need one.
AI setter vs human setter vs keyword bot
A keyword bot sends the message you wrote. An AI setter answers from your offer and can book. A human setter brings judgment, and a bill that moves with volume. Pick the keyword bot if you only need the link under the Reel. The ManyChat alternative for coaches page is that comparison. ManyChat Pro at $29/month billed yearly, and InstantDM at $9.99/month billed yearly, were on their pricing pages on October 15, 2026.2
| Human setter | Keyword bot (ManyChat, InstantDM) | FlowGent AI setter | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reply time | Whenever they are working | Immediate for the scripted first message | From your offer, including outside working hours. Hands back what it can't answer |
| Hours | Their shift | On for the triggers you build | On for the channels you connect |
| Handles "how much?" | Yes, if you trained them | Only if you wrote that branch | From the offer you add, or a qualifying question first |
| Follow-up | If they remember | If you build the flow | Flow follow-ups on Starter. The AI follow-up tool is on Standard |
| Books in the DM | Yes | Usually a link, if you add that step | Calendly or Cal.com on Standard, in the thread |
| Cost | A retainer, an hourly rate, or a commission. No dollar figure here | ManyChat Pro is $29/month billed yearly. InstantDM is $9.99/month billed yearly | Starter $19, Hobby $49, Standard $99, Pro $199 |
| Setup | Hiring and training | A branch for each keyword | Most of it is pasting your offer and connecting Instagram |
What it costs
Plan limits below are from FlowGent's pricing config, checked Oct 25, 2026. One credit is one message sent to the agent. Full detail is on pricing.
For a coach who wants booking and an escalation email, use Standard. Hobby's single templated tool is the email notification in the current plan config, so it does not also include Calendly or Cal.com. Pro is $199/month for 8,000 credits, 3 agents, and unlimited tools, if Standard's 4,000 credits or one agent is not enough.
| Starter $19 | Hobby $49 | Standard $99 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI replies | 0 credits. Flows only | 2,000 message credits, 1 agent | 4,000 message credits, 1 agent |
| Booking tool | No | No. The one templated tool is the email notification | Yes. Calendly or Cal.com, inside the DM |
| Escalation email | The one templated tool, without AI replies | Yes. That is the one templated tool | Yes, alongside booking |
| Included | Included | Included | |
| Voice notes | No | No | Yes. Pre-recorded clips, or an AI voice with your own ElevenLabs key |
| Team members | 1 | 1 | 3 |
SetSmart's page for business coaches lists Pro at $97/month for 1,000 AI messages. SetterFlo lists a pilot at $997 onboarding, then $297/month, and a starter plan at $297/month. Both checked Oct 25, 2026.3

Built for how coaches sell
The qualifying question changes with the offer. The booking step does not. These are examples of questions you would write, not results from a customer.
Fitness and nutrition
People ask about the program length and whether they can start this round. A useful first question is what they want to change, and whether they can train this month.
Business and mindset
The price question shows up early. The agent can ask what they sell and whether they are ready to invest, then book only the people who match the rule you wrote. For the close itself, see high-ticket sales strategy.
Course creators and launches
A keyword on a Reel can deliver the waitlist or the outline, then answer what is included. Launch timing is its own workflow on course launch automation.
Agencies that run setters for coaches
Standard includes 3 team members. Pro includes 3 agents and 5 team members. The agency overview is on for agencies.
The wider path from a comment to a sale is the DM sales funnel. If you are comparing setter products, Mochi is one of the names that shows up for this job.
FAQ
What is an AI DM setter for coaches?
An AI DM setter for coaches replies to people who message a coaching or course account, asks whether they are a fit, and can book a call. FlowGent does that on Instagram and WhatsApp from the offer, FAQ, and files you add. It is the coach-specific page. The generic job is on the AI DM setter page. AI replies start on Hobby at $49/month for 2,000 message credits. Calendar booking is on Standard at $99/month. Prices checked Oct 25, 2026.
Can an AI setter book calls inside Instagram DMs?
Yes, on Standard and Pro. The agent can use the Calendly or Cal.com tool to offer open times in the thread. Hobby includes one templated tool, and in the current plan setup that tool is an email notification, not the calendar tool. Starter at $19/month is flows only and includes 0 AI credits. Prices checked Oct 25, 2026.
Will my leads know it's AI?
They might. FlowGent does not hide that an agent is replying, and we do not claim people cannot tell. Say so in the first message or in your bio if you want that to be obvious. You can take over the thread whenever the reply should come from you.
How does it handle "How much is your coaching?"
It answers from the prices and offer details you add, or it asks a qualifying question first if that is the rule you write. It should not invent a price that is not in its knowledge. Custom quotes, discounts, and refunds stay with you.
Does it work on WhatsApp too?
Yes. Instagram and WhatsApp are both included on Starter, Hobby, Standard, and Pro. A common path is a comment on a Reel, then the conversation continues on WhatsApp. Meta charges its own WhatsApp fees. This page does not restate those rates, and FlowGent's plan price is separate from them.
Is it safe for my Instagram account?
FlowGent connects through Meta's official Instagram and WhatsApp APIs. You do not give FlowGent your Instagram password. You still have to follow Instagram's messaging rules, including replying after the person messages you first.
Can I take over a conversation?
Yes. You can take over a thread from the inbox. The agent can also send you an email when a chat should go to a person. The sales call, custom pricing, refunds, and complaints stay with you.
AI DM setter vs a human setter: which is cheaper?
A human setter is usually paid a retainer, an hourly rate, or a commission, so the bill moves with volume and with how hard the role is to refill. FlowGent is a flat monthly price: $19, $49, $99, or $199, depending on the plan (checked Oct 25, 2026). We are not publishing a dollar figure for a typical human setter, because we do not have a public source for that pay.
How long does setup take?
Most of setup is pasting your offer and connecting Instagram. We do not have a measured median setup time to quote. Before you go live, send your own keyword and read the replies.
Which FlowGent plan do coaches need?
Starter at $19/month if you only want keyword flows and no AI. Hobby at $49/month (2,000 credits, one templated tool) if you want AI answers and the escalation email, without calendar booking. Standard at $99/month (4,000 credits, 5 tools) if you want Calendly or Cal.com plus an escalation email. Pro at $199/month if you need 8,000 credits, 3 agents, or unlimited tools. Prices checked Oct 25, 2026.
