Quick verdict

CloseBot if the CRM is the product. FlowGent if the DMs are.

Stay with CloseBot if leads already live in HighLevel or HubSpot, or you want one text agent on the channels that account already has, including SMS and email, plus agency rebilling. Pick FlowGent if the work is Instagram and WhatsApp you connect yourself, and you want a price you can read before a demo.

What is CloseBot?

CloseBot's homepage describes it as an AI appointment setter for businesses and agencies. It says you can connect HighLevel, HubSpot, or a standalone account, and build the agent yourself. The sales-agents page says it is a text agent: it does not make phone calls. It works on the text channels the connected account already supports, which it lists as SMS, email, web chat, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, and WhatsApp. That page also says CloseBot does not reconnect those channels itself.

FlowGent connects Instagram and WhatsApp on its own plans. Comment-to-DM and follow-up sequences are on the $19/month Starter plan. AI replies start on Hobby at $49/month. Calendly and Cal.com booking starts on Standard at $99/month. Those tools pull open slots and book them. How that booking flow works on Instagram is on the AI DM setter guide.

CloseBot vs FlowGent pricing

On October 27, 2026, closebot.com/plans showed three public cards: Free at $0 with 100 AI replies, one team seat, unlimited account connections, unlimited uploads, and unlimited AI agents; Core at $64/month; Growth as custom. The FAQ on that page says the free plan stays free at 100 messages or less, any paid plan has a 7-day trial before you are billed, and there are no refunds. Agencies are billed $0.012 per message, which they can rebill. Business plans include message cost unless you go over the limit, then wallet overage applies. The same FAQ says bring-your-own API keys are not allowed.

A help-center article written April 20, 2026 still lists business tiers at $64, $197, $297, and $397 by job-flow count, an agency plan at $397/month, and different per-message rates. Those figures were not on the public plan cards we loaded, so this page does not treat them as the current public price.

CloseBot FAQ

What is CloseBot?

CloseBot is an AI appointment setter for businesses and agencies. Its site says it connects to HighLevel, HubSpot, or standalone, and that it works on the text channels that connected account already supports, including SMS, email, web chat, Messenger, Instagram DM, and WhatsApp. It says it does not make phone calls. Source: closebot.com and closebot.com/features/sales-agents, checked October 27, 2026.

Is there a CloseBot alternative for Instagram DMs?

FlowGent is the closer alternative when Instagram and WhatsApp are the channels, and you do not want the agent to depend on a CRM inbox. CloseBot is the closer alternative when the CRM is already where leads, calendars, and SMS live. Many comparison pages for "CloseBot alternative" are written for GoHighLevel agencies. This page is the Instagram and WhatsApp version of that question.

How much does CloseBot cost?

On October 27, 2026, the public plans page listed Free at $0 for 100 AI replies, Core at $64 per month, and Growth as custom. The FAQ says paid plans include a 7-day trial, agencies pay $0.012 per message they can rebill, and business message costs are included unless you pass the limit. A help article from April 20, 2026 lists more business tiers. Confirm the live checkout before you buy, because those two pages do not match.

Does CloseBot connect Instagram directly?

Its sales-agents page says Instagram DM is one of the channels the connected account may already support, and that CloseBot does not reconnect those channels itself. The homepage lists HighLevel, HubSpot, or standalone. It does not publish a "log in with Instagram" setup on the pages we checked. FlowGent connects Instagram on its own plans, including comment-to-DM from $19 per month.

CloseBot vs FlowGent: which one should I use?

Use CloseBot if you are already in HighLevel or HubSpot, you need SMS and email in the same agent, or you resell setting to clients. Use FlowGent if you want an Instagram and WhatsApp agent with published prices and comment-to-DM, and Calendly or Cal.com booking on Standard ($99/month), without a CRM subscription underneath it.

Try FlowGent on your own DMs

Connect Instagram, add what you sell, and see how the agent answers. Plans start at $19/month for flows and $49/month for AI credits.
